BUNCO RULES
Starting the Game: Each table decides a scorekeeper who records the points and adds up the scores. The head table rings the bell declaring the start of the game and the rolling begins.
Scoring Rules: A player can score points only in any of the three conditions:
1 point: The round number appears on the face of one of the three dice. First round is 1s, so each 1 is one point.
5 points / Mini Bunco: Any number appears on all three dice. First round is 1s, but you roll 3 6s, that is a mini bunco. Once your play is over, you need to record this on your scorecard as you can win for the most mini buncos.
21 points / Bunco: The round number appears on all three dice. First round is 1s, a Bunco is a 1 on all three dice.
Rolling A Round: All the three dice are rolled with an intention to get one of the above-mentioned combinations. If a player manages to score points, the turn continues until the player fails to score. Any dice roll that yields a combination other than those stated in the scoring part, the player cannot score a point, in which case the turn ends, and the dice are passed on to the next player. Play ends when a playing team at any table gets 21 or rolls a bunco (automatic 21). All play ends, unless a player is rolling points then that player continues to roll until they no longer roll the designated number. If a table has a tie, they continue to play until the tie is broken.
Winning A Round and Shifting Tables: After a round ends, each table has a winning team with higher scores and a losing team. Generally, the losing team moves to the next table.
The winning team stays at the table but one of the winners must move to another seat at that table to play with another person for the next round of play.
End of Play: We stop after the 4th set of games. Each person adds up their total wins, losses, buncos, and mini buncos and places the numbers on the back of their scorecard. Winners are chosen and are as follows:
Most Wins: $40 Most Mini Buncos $20
Most Buncos: $30 Most Losses $15
Players can only win one prize. Once a player wins, their name will be withdrawn from all other categories. Ties are broken with a roll-off using one die. The highest number is the winner.
