PWC Meeting
The February meeting of the Plantation Women's Club was held on Saturday, February 3rd. We had lots going on, we had 42 in attendance, our largest attended meeting in over a year.
It was a great opportunity to honor someone very special to the PWC, Bill Hines. To honor his mother, a Plantation Women's Club member and huge supporter, Bill continues her legacy of supporting us. Each year Bill donates all the hamburgers, hotdogs, and buns to the PWC Yard Sale's concession stand. Our concession brings in about one-third of our revenue for each event.
Our Guest Speaker was Captain Keith Shaddix of the Villa Rica "Shop with a Cop" program. He thanked us for our donation of $2,500 which was raised from our Fairfield Christmas Tour of Homes. He explained how the program was set up and told many heartwarming stories about some children's experiences.
